Nicholas Unwin is 'one of the leading pianists of his generation'
(Sunday Times, UK).
His live and recorded performances of 20th century English and Spanish
music have established his reputation as one of the foremost interpreters
of these genres. His recordings of Sir Michael Tippett's Piano
Sonatas (Nos 1-3, Chandos; No 4, Metier) have received much acclaim as has
that of the Cuban-Spanish composer Joaquin Nin. More recently his
recording of Albeniz' Iberia (Chandos - released September 2000) has been
well received by critics.
He has performed extensively in the Europe and broadcast worldwide.
He spent nearly five years living in Japan from 1999 before returning to
England in 2004.
